MONARCH TRACTOR EARNS HONORS
Monarch Tractor, maker of the MK-V, fully electric, driver-optional, smart tractor, has been named to the 2023 CNBC Disruptor 50 list for the second year.
The 11th annual Disruptor 50 list consists of breakthrough venture-backed startups developing revolutionary new technology into scalable business models.
Monarch Tractor's MK-V offers next generation electric vehicle technology. The fully electric, driver-optional, smart tractor combines electrification, automation, and data analysis to help farmers reduce their carbon footprint, improve field safety, streamline farming operations, and increase their bottom lines.
AGCO, HEXAGON PEN GUIDANCE AGREEMENT
AGCO and Hexagon has agreed to expand distribution of Hexagon's ag guidance systems. The new guidance system will be sold as Fuse Guide on Massey Ferguson and Valtra tractors.
The arrangement expands AGCO's and Hexagon's partnership that already distributes Hexagon NovAtel global navigation satellite system receivers and global TerraStar Correction Services. Like AGCO's premium guidance systems, Fuse Guide includes the NovAtel SMART7 receiver.
Fuse Guide is intended to be marketed in Brazil with additional markets to follow in 2024.
DEERE SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH PCT AGCLOUD
John Deere and PCT Agcloud have announced an alliance that enables grain and cotton farmers to take John Deere Operations Center data and share it with PCT Agcloud.
The allied agreement enables small grains, corn and soybean growers that use HarvestLab 3000 Grain Sensing to generate insights and action through Protein Pro powered by PCT Agcloud. Protein Pro delivers automated cleaning, editing, multiple machine corrections, intersecting zone creation, and nitrogen removal and product replacement data to the Deere Operations Center.
Customers who use Protein Pro can create immediate insights by combining protein and yield map layers that can drive better agronomic outcomes in subsequent crop years.
The allied agreement also unlocks Linked Cotton for cotton farmers. Linked Cotton creates cotton quality layers from manual gin data imports and integrates with CottonHost (EWR), making it possible to automatically import bale quality data.
Linked Cotton automatically post calibrates yield once gin quality data is imported. If the data is not available, yield is automatically calibrated to weight from the module weighing system. If that data is not available, the yield can be manually post calibrated from ginned bale data. Farmers can link Harvest Identification, Cotton Pro data directly to the yield data from Operations Center.
Linked Cotton gives farmers more accurate post-harvest yield calibration, trial information results -- and loss assessments from weather -- and gives them the information to clearly understand the impact on cotton quality from operations, management and agronomic influences and decision making. When connected to Operations Center, farmers can unlock advanced analytics for soil mapping, advanced cotton data features and additional agronomic decisions for higher return on investment.
DEERE LAUNCHES PROPERTY CENTER
John Deere is launching a new web-based tool named John Deere Property Center. It is a tool that allows the user to plan and track equipment maintenance for their equipment, buy parts, and learn how to do key jobs around your yard or acreage.
Property Center connects operators with their equipment information and provides access to operator manuals, warranties, product support and a library of how-to videos to help you manage your weekend projects--all customized to your specific equipment.
If your John Deere equipment is equipped with JDLink connectivity, additional features like tank levels and engine hours can be viewed on the Property Center website.
DEERE EXPANDS LINEUP OF P-TIER COMPACT WHEEL LOADERS
John Deere is expanding its Performance Tiering offerings with the shift from L-Series to P-Tier for the 244, 324 and 344 Compact Wheel Loader models. The new P-Tier compact wheel loaders will carry over all L-Series features and will introduce new features including standard ride control in base models and optional factory-installed features, including an auto-reversing fan option. Additional optional features include attachment assist controls, which include integrated electrical (three-pin) controls for attachments and combined creep control and throttle lock.
Previously offered as an optional upgrade on L-Series models, ride control is now standard on all P-Tier compact wheel loaders. Ride control cushions boom movements during transport.
YANMAR INTROS NEW SEAT SUSPENSION
Yanmar America Corporation has introduced a new mechanical suspension seat for its YT2 tractor. The Deluxe Suspension features a low-profile design with 1.5 inches of suspension motion and an anti-vibration system that reduces operator fatigue.
